SYNTHESAR,S.A.

As chemical products distributors and manufacturers of preparations, the impact that the European directive about classification of chemical substances (REACH) has On SYNTHESAR, S.A is limited.

With very few exceptions, all commercialized chemical substances, distributed, manufactured and thOSE imported out of the EU have to be registered by the manufacturer or importer at the European Agency of Substances and Chemical Preparations (ECHA).

Among these substances, those that SYNTHESAR, S.A. uses for the formulations of its products are included. The preparations or resulting mixtures do not require to be registered.



As formulators and manufacturers of preparations, SYNTHESAR S.A. depends of the information supplied by its suppliers. The directive REACH forces us to analyze this information and communicating it to our customers, following the chain of delivery until the final user, though the safety data sheet of the substances.



In the same way, SYNTHESAR S.A. customers have to brief about the intended uses of the products supplied so as we can informour suppliers, following the chain of supply up to the manufacturer/importer, so that these ones can take them into account in the evaluation of the substances safety and guarantee their exposure scenarios.



Our customers have to comply wuth the communicated aproved conditions of use and exposure scenarios. These duties will come into force as of 1/06/2008.


SYNTHESAR S.A. does not take any responsabilityfor the non authorized uses of its products on the part of its customers.

The dangerous substances will be registered in dangerous substances inventory. With the gone into effect GHS (Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling) in the UE, this part of the REACH will remain regulated through the community regulations about GHS.



At present, it is not possible to assure the future availability of some substances since the process of registry has just started. Some of the products commercialized by SYNTHESAR S.A. contained substances that are not to be registered and its commercialitation stopped, with sufficient anticipation our customers would be communicatedso that they could take the actions, foreseen the REACH, which by consider appropriate.
